Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 16
Yes! Yes! PAWNCH!
So…to be honest, a lot of the talking parts here kinda got me confused. I’m not really sure if I get everything they said, but after rewatching portions of it to take screenshots for this entry (I watch it once using Winamp because I want to enjoy the episode first off, then go back to interesting parts using BSplayer), I think I have a better grasp of what’ll be happening.
Nothing gets between Pizza Butt and her pizza…not even memory loss.
We finally get to see the full effects of Pizza Butt’s memory loss. To be honest, it’s what a lot of people expected when we saw the initial transformation and the preview, but there’s something so entertaining about finally witnessing it. Indeed, she does fear a lot of things in this form, and particularly worries being hit by Lelouch as I’m sure other masters have done so in the past. The question remains whether or not C.C. will get her memories back. I’d say either an episode before she dies, or a few minutes before she dies. Your pick.
You must defeat Shen Long to stand a chance!
Suzaku finally fucking got his just desserts, and gets the shit kicked out of him. Finally, after dealing with all of him ruining plans and such, it’s nice to see that hate channeled into today’s episode. Like Kallen said, though, it pisses me off that he didn’t defend himself, as it’d be that much more satisfying if Suzaku would try and fail. Logically speaking, Spinzaku would probably win if he did try, so I guess it’s best to not be greedy.
Though I’m getting weird vibes about Kallen now…usually, whenever I hear an “I hate you!” in anime, especially from a tsundere-like person like Kallen, I tend to think she’ll have a different opinion of him later, perhaps like him a little. *shudders* It even worries me more when Gino, who’s been after Kallen’s ass since he found out a chick piloted the Guren, had a chance to show his gayness nobleness in front of Luciano. I’d still say Kallen will still either end up with Lelouch by series end (since I’m certain C.C. will die), or die as well, so maybe I’m just reading too much into things, especially since she now knows more about Lelouch through Nunnally.
A Cornelia is fine too.
Cornelia appeared for littler than a minute here too, which I’m a bit pissed off about. I’m betting it’ll be explained in a flashback next episode about how Lelouch explains all this shit about Euphemia to her, and how she still hates him because of it, but also doesn’t want Big Charles to kill the world, so she joins for now.
How you survived? Yes, that’d be a lovely piece of information.
The same with Ohgi and Viletta’s story. Ohgi just comes back, looking fine, but we still don’t know what the fuck happened. In fact, Viletta wasn’t even here. I’d say that the Ohgi here is probably Sayoko had it not been for the fact that she was seen walking with Rolo earlier, but then again it could just be jumps in between time. Again, more material for next episode.

A Hind D? A Surveilance Camera!?
I’ve had a theory that Anya is most likely related to Geass as well, mainly from the fact that she had a picture of Lelouch back when he was living in Britannia. Unless by the off chance that she’s been taking pictures since she was 8 or 9, I’m guessing she probably has a Code somewhere on here body (Anya Alstreim…A.A.?) and she too hasn’t aged since then. Today presented another clue about what’s up with her, namely how she says that she can’t remember certain things. Upon reading a wiki entry about her, I found out that she’s now Nunnally’s knight, which explains why she’s usually seen with her, and that in the novels set between the seasons, she was at Marianne’s palace despite it being off limits after the assasination, and cried while piloting the Ganymede…wow…
Well…this isn’t going to end well…
Well shit…Chiba just set either herself or Toudou to die, though I’m more leaning towards the former since she was the one who said it. I’m guessing she either confesses it right before she dies, or dies protecting Toudou from taking a fatal blow. Hell, I’m even more convinced now that in the course of the season, 2 Shinseiken have already died.
“You have rookie eyes!”
In fact…Asahina will probably die too if he sasses Rolo again. In fact, even if he doesn’t really sass Rolo, he’ll die because of him…Rolo should die too…
Divine Assault. Ether Strike!
Hell, Nina probably set herself up to die too given Lloyd’s little comment. I would say she actually did it last episode, but this just kinda confirms it. Nina’s nuke…I’m not sure what the hell she was talking about what it really does to things (must rewatch that scene for better clarification), but seeing as how she wants Lancelot to be equipped with it, I’m guessing you have to fire it instead of it being a bomb like she used at the end of Season I. Like a Davy Crockett or something, but for Knightmares? There was loads of those devices in Gundam SEED, but it may do a far more amount of damage. The simulation with the dome-like crevice last episode freaked me out. Ironically, the device is called Freya, a Norse god. Given the Freya I’m used to, and we’re talking some serious amount of shit.
By the sweat of our brow and the strength of our backs and the courage in our hearts! Gentlemen, hoist the colors!
With the forming of a UN-like structure, and Kaguya and Tian Zi requesting liberation from Britannia by casting their votes, much like I imagine the UN did during the World Wars, the stage is set for Area 11 to once again be the final battleground. What I’m interested in seeing now is if the outcome will once again end with the defeat of the Kuro no Kishi-dan. You would think that after the massive boosts of power Lelouch has that he may win this time, especially since he now has somewhat RESOLVED during a few episodes, but the fact that Kallen is still being a captive, that now the Knight of Rounds have been brought in, and the potential collapse of structure in the Kuro no Kishi-dan due to the Geass eradication might spell defeat.
Dead? Not on my watch bitch!
Of course, let’s not forget that Big Charles just up and decided to show up again to piss Lelouch off, and tell him the stakes of this battle. Again, he decides not to reveal his identity as his son. Another potential trump card in the future, or does he deem it not important for everyone to know now? Or both? Whatever case, Schneizel wasn’t ammused by this either, which furthers my support that Schneizel will be the final boss or die fighting Big Charles.
ROW! ROW! FIGHT THE POWER!
Clearly, these Elevens must watch their own shit in order to surpass the Engrish awesomeness of “All Hail Britannia!” I suggest Gurren Lagann.
Did somebody say…FABULOUS!?
Lulu does eventually bitch slap C.C.’s plate here, after kindly offering him some pizza because she knows he didn’t eat. Waste of a good Waifu there Lulu. Of course, he goes back to his human side afterwards, looking like he’s going to hug her, but he doesn’t, since he’s void of any emotion. I’m sure though he’s planning to give C.C. the love she didn’t get though, that way when she dies it’s that much more painful to him. Regardless, if it were me, as well as the other Pizza Butt fans around the world, I’d order her to get down on all fours and yell erotically as I pound her butt cuddle with me on a bed until I fall asleep.
And it ends with Suzaku calling Lelouch out to meet at the temple again. I’m pretty sure that Suzaku is going to ask why Lelouch killed Euphemia, since it was an inquiry he brought up back a few episodes as he wonders why Lelouch cast Geass on him to live, and also ask if he was the one who killed Shirley. Lelouch will probably finally explain things, and it’s up to Suzaku from here to see if he should really be fighting for Britannia, though as how the preview shots look, Suzaku finds another gay reason to fight for them further.
Preview:
I’m not sure what it does, but I don’t like it.
Stop!…in the name of love!
LOL BIG SWR0D!
Also, I think I’ve found a better slogan that the Elevens can use in order to stand up to the “All Hail Britannia!” phrase. And since it actually fits into their situation and timeline, then I find it to be of better use to this anime than what ADV used at the time. Behold, the recruiting slogan for Kuro no Kishi-dan candidates (and Chinamen) everywhere!
AND KICK AWAY REASON!
Hyuk hyuk!
