Of course, you know Yami wants it. Look at her hand for proof.
Lately, I’ve realized the main reason for me blogging the show is to show my animuness in constantly comparing the show to the manga. Yes, yes, you can do the same for any Shonen Jump anime adaptation, but seeing as how the majority of Shonen Jump adaptations suck balls due to fillers (Naruto, Bleach), or I don’t watch any of them (One Piece, D.Gray-Man) , and the last good adaptation I watched was Death Note, I figure why not choose thinking it’s going to suck more than Rosario+Vampire, then be utterly surprised and entertained on how much I look forward to watching it. Yup.
The main thing that stole the show for me was Yui’s little gag here where she constantly tries to pass out, only to fail twice and then deduces the only way to succeed would be to forcefully hit her head as hard as she can to some sort of surface. Yui’s been a favorite character of mine since she debuted about 50 chapters into the manga, and I’m really glad they actually took the choice to animate the whole harem and add her in. Oh, and she’s also voiced by Nazuka Kaori. That doesn’t hurt.
This is the third time on a show this season I’ve heard Noto Mamiko’s voice in anime, since she’s also currently doing Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and Zero no Tsukaima ~Princess no Rondo~ (The 4th time I’ve heard it this summer since I recently tried watching Kanokon). I really wasn’t expecting this before the episode aired, but like every show Noto Mamiko is in, it always makes sense once it comes to light. I doubt that since there’s only 9 episodes left that they’ll get to integrating the elements from the manga here that include her becoming an actual student, but hey, if they decide to do a Season II, it’d be a good place to start.
About everything up to Oshizu’s introduction is a complete adaptation from the manga, which is good, and even the altering of Oshizu’s introduction is welcoming (she originally only appears during the last pages of the chapter, and they run away from her), but I felt the whole aliens trying to get a job was kinda tacked on. Sure, it’s probably better than extending this chapter to a full episode, since they got it done pretty quickly within the first half, but hey, they could’ve animated the Oshizu possesses Haruna chapter too, especially if the series is going to end. And I really don’t see the logic that they can pretend to be women to be accepted. I wouldn’t go to a Hooter’s where there were men who pretended to be women and were hired because they can do the same things women do. We know we can do that, it’s just overtly gay when done.
Next week as far as I can tell is an anime original episode, much like the hunting episode and the Rito training episode. Something about Saruyama delivering a baby…that’s just creepy…
One more for the road. ^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^
